Weiwei ZHANG

Professor ZHANG Weiwei

 
 
ZHANG Weiwei is a professor of international relations at Fudan University, China, and visiting professor at the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations, Switzerland.

 
Prof. Zhang holds a Ph.D in International Relations from the University of Geneva.

 
His main publications include :

Ideology and Economic Reform under Deng Xiaoping (Kegan Paul, London, 1996),
Transforming China: Economic Reform and its Political Implications (Macmillan, London and St. Martins, New York, 2000),
Reshaping Cross-Strait Relations: Ideas and Reflections (CAS, Geneva, 2006),
Zhongguo Chudong Quanqiu (China Touches the World) (Xinhua Press, Beijing, 2008)
The China Wave, Rise of a Civilizational State (World Century, New Jersey, 2012).

 
He has written extensively in Chinese and English on China’s political and economic reforms, the China model of development, China’s foreign policy, comparative politics, and Beijing-Taipei relations.

 
He worked as a senior English interpreter for Deng Xiaoping and other Chinese leaders in the mid-1980s. He has travelled to over 100 countries.
