Andriy KVASHA
Dr. Andriy KVASHA obtained his PhD in Technical Electrochemistry from the Ukrainian State Chemical Technology University (Ukraine) in 2004. He has over 25 years of combined academic and industrial experience in the research and development of lithium metal, lithium-ion, and solid-state batteries. From 2006 to 2012, he worked as a senior engineer in the Lithium-ion Battery R&D Department at Samsung SDI (South Korea). In 2012, Dr. Kvasha joined Fundación CIDETEC (Spain) as a project manager, focusing on research and development of advanced lithium-ion batteries. Since 2016, he has been leading the solid-state battery team within the Materials for Energy Unit (CIDETEC Energy Storage), where his work is focused on the development of advanced, high-energy and safe solid-state batteries. Dr. Kvasha has participated in more than 25 national and international research and innovation projects, including FP7, Horizon 2020, and Horizon Europe programmes (e.g., MAT4BAT, SAFELIMOVE, IMAGE, SPINMATE, HyLIST, SOLIDBAT, STELLAR). He is currently the coordinator of the Horizon Europe project SOLVE, which is dedicated to the development of solid-state batteries for mobility applications. He is the co-author of over 30 peer-reviewed scientific publications and holds five patents. Dr. Kvasha also serves as co-director of two doctoral theses.
